Friendly Feb
February is the month of love. So, what better way to celebrate than by challenging yourself to play and complete a non-violent game! Cities: Skylines, Forza, DOOM... Ok maybe not DOOM. But you get the idea. Play a game, or games, which does not hurt a digital fly.
Play It All Month
February is the short one, which we did not think through. Twenty eight days, one peaceful game.
See It Through
Credits, or as close as the game lets you get. Giving up on the 26th is traditional but frowned upon.
Tell The Discord
Post what you picked. Somebody in there has been meaning to play it for four years.
The XboxCast's Friendly Feb
One month. One game. Nothing gets hurt.
That is the whole thing. For one month, put the shotgun down and pick up a bulldozer, a steering wheel, a fishing rod, or a small hat that lets you talk to a bear. Cities: Skylines. Forza. Stardew Valley. Unpacking. PowerWash Simulator, if you would like to feel genuinely calm for the first time in years.
It is harder than it sounds. Most of us get about nine days in before working out that the entire library is people shooting each other. That is sort of the point.
Rules
Not A Digital Fly
If the game asks you to hurt something, it is out. Insects included. Nobody is checking, but you will know.
One Game, Properly
One finished beats four started. February does not give you the room to muck about.
It Still Has To Be A Game
Menus are not a game. Neither is the XBOX dashboard, however long you spend reorganising it.
Where To Start
Build Something
Cities: Skylines, Two Point Hospital, Planet Coaster. Nothing dies, although the waiting lists do get grim.
Drive Something
Forza Horizon, Art of Rally, Hot Wheels Unleashed. Whatever happens between you and a tree stays between you and the tree.
Grow Something
Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher, Dinkum. February will be over long before you have paid off the farm.
Tidy Something
PowerWash Simulator, Unpacking, A Little to the Left. Genuinely calming, right up until the cat walks across your careful work.
Make February a little more XboxCast.
